As is well known to all, recent years have witnessed an explosion in technologies and media.

This has been a great boon to authentic Islamic preachers and scholars, for the growing audiences that have come about as a result of the internet, social media and other forums today have unprecedented access to the wisdom and beauty of Islam.

It must be said, however, that this comes with costs, among which is the proliferation of opinions, worldviews, and methodologies which claim to emanate from Islam, but which in fact represent aberrant and unjustified departures from the long historical tradition of Islamic scholarship that Muslims have valued for centuries.

The intellectual tradition of Islam is perhaps the greatest accomplishment of Islamic civilization, and so it is no surprise that Muslims have always taken pride in the institutions and personalities associated with it. In today’s context, the modes of disseminating this tradition may have changed, but our commitment to the beauty, flexibility and profundity of Islam remains as strong as ever.

It gives me great pleasure, therefore, to introduce the website , which seeks to make available to a wider audience of both Muslims and non-Muslims the perennial wisdom of Islam through the most modern means of communication.
